Personally last weekend was a good one in terms of betting, however if Massini's Maguire had another yard to race, we would have had an even better day. Still it was beaten a nose & this is a horse to perhaps now consider for Cheltenham as it finishes strongly & i personally think its best distance is around the 2m 5f mark & not 3 miles.
Chief Yeoman finally won a race & paid out on a nice price however Ballydub still managed to frank some of the form for this season by finishing a gallant 2nd. Celestial halo & Osana now go for the Champion Hurdle both in good heart after thier race, i still think Binocular is too skinny a price & i will be still be looking for perhaps one of these 2 to win the race. I liked the way Kalahari King won on Sunday as it only just seems to be doing enough at the end to win & i wonder if the Arkle will suit it but i cant wait for the race.
